
みなみさやか
Minamisayaka is a mid-late season tea cultivar registered in 1991, developed from crossing Miya A-6 × NN27. Budding and harvesting periods are 2-3 days later than Yabukita, with upright tree form, thick trunk diameter, and prominent main branch development. Strong tree vigor with vigorous early growth and yield exceeding Yabukita. Strong cold resistance and resistance to anthracnose and ring spot disease. Has distinctive high fragrance and flavor, but evaluation is divided due to its unprecedented flavor profile. Cultivation is possible nationwide except in cold regions.
