Nanmei

Nanmei is a sencha variety registered in 2014, developed by crossing Sayamakaori and Makurazaki 13. It is an early-season variety with first tea harvest 6 days earlier than Yabukita, with yields 23% higher for first tea and 50% higher for second tea. Tea processing quality is superior to Yabukita in both appearance and internal quality. It has weak cold resistance and is suitable for warm regions, with resistance to mulberry white scale.
