おくゆたか
Okuyutaka is a medium-late tea variety registered in 1983, developed over 26 years by crossing Yutakamidori × F1NN8 (Tamaminori × S6). Sprouting and harvesting are 6-8 days later than Yabukita, making it easier to avoid late frost damage. It has intermediate tree form with many branches, excellent bush spread, and good cutting root formation. Yield greatly exceeds Yabukita. It has strong resistance to anthracnose. It has distinctive aroma, taste, and umami different from Yabukita. Suitable for cultivation in warm regions south of Tokai and Kinki.
