さえみどり
Saemidori is an early tea variety registered in 1990, developed by crossing Yabukita × Asatsuyu. Its main characteristics are beautiful bright green color, distinctive aroma different from Yabukita, and excellent umami for sencha quality. It has intermediate tree form with excellent branching and sprouting about 4 days earlier than Yabukita. Yield exceeds Yabukita, particularly notable in mature tree stage. Cold resistance is similar to Yabukita, suitable for cultivation in warm and temperate regions from Kyushu to Tokai.
