
さやまかおり
Sayamakaori is a sencha variety selected and developed from natural hybrid seedlings of Yabukita. It is particularly excellent in aroma with superior quality as sencha. It has strong cold resistance, vigorous growth from young tree stage, and high yield, making it suitable for cultivation in northern tea-producing regions of Japan such as Saitama and Ibaraki prefectures. It is a medium-season variety harvested several days earlier than Yabukita, and is also characterized by easy cutting propagation.
