Shizukaori

Shizukaori is a sencha variety developed by crossing Okuhikari and Kuritawase. It is characterized by floral and refreshing aroma, and is an early-season variety with first tea harvest about 2 days earlier than Yabukita. Growth is slow in young tree stage, but yield exceeds Yabukita in mature tree stage. Suitable for cultivation throughout Shizuoka Prefecture.
