
しゅんたろう
Shuntaro is a cross between Kuritawase, widely cultivated in Tanegashima, and Benitachiwase, a Kagoshima-type variety. Has excellent fragrance and sweetness. Resistant to anthracnose and ring spot disease, with yield performance exceeding Kuritawase. However, inferior cold resistance and weak to red blight disease, making it suitable for cultivation in warm regions south of Makurazaki City.
