Unkai

Unkai is a variety developed at Miyazaki Agricultural Experiment Station, selected from F1 generation of Takachiho cross. It's an early variety with vigorous growth and high yield, with strong disease resistance to net blotch and anthracnose. It also has excellent cold resistance. Following adaptability tests in southern Kyushu and Tokai regions, it was adopted as a recommended variety in Kumamoto and Miyazaki prefectures.
