ゆめかおり
Yumekaori is an early season tea cultivar developed from crossing Sayamakaori × Miyazaki 8. It is Japan's first cultivar bred with resistance to white peach scale insect as a breeding objective, possessing resistance equal to or greater than Sayamakaori. In warm regions like southern Kyushu, budding is 7 days earlier and harvesting 4 days earlier than Yabukita. Tree form is intermediate with moderately strong vigor, and bush spread is slightly larger than Yabukita. Yield is slightly higher than Yabukita, with sencha quality characterized by refreshing fragrance and rich taste. Cold resistance is moderately strong for both red blight and frost damage, but somewhat weak to anthracnose and blister blight.
